Helena Stol
CPA, CGA, Partner
Helena is an accountant with experience in a variety of areas, including corporate, estate, and personal taxation, as well as auditing, systems implementation, and controllership and bookkeeping support. She started her career in public practice in the late 1990’s, working at a boutique CA firm which later merged with BDO Dunwoody. Helena earned her CGA designation in 2001. Her career path then led her to work in both the public sector and industry in a variety of roles. Because of her love of people, she returned to her roots in 2006, coming back to public practice to work alongside John M. Day, CPA, CA, in his firm. Upon John’s retirement in 2015, she and her business partner Daniela Antlova, CPA, CGA, took over the practice. Helena’s goal is to continue to serve her clients’ best interests, providing not only professional advice but a friendly ear.
Daniela Antlova
CPA, CGA, Partner
Daniela started her career as an auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Prague in 1995. During the 2000s she served as a financial manager of several multinational companies with subsidiaries all over Europe. She moved to Canada in 2003 and has worked in public practice since 2005. She obtained her Canadian designation (CGA) in 2011 graduating as one of the top ten students in British Columbia. She is passionate about finding the simplest, most effective solutions to all of life’s problems. Daniela is also loving being a mom to her toddler daughter rediscovering the wonders of the world with her.
Michelle Lin
CPA, Manager
Michelle joined the firm in 2015. She is a graduate of UBC Sauder School of Business with a Bachelor of Commerce degree specializing in Accounting. She has successfully passed the Common Final Examination in September 2017 and has obtained her CPA designation in 2018. Michelle has outstanding problem-solving skills and a prodigious memory. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, and travelling.
David Makarewicz
Senior Accountant
David graduated from the Beedie School of Business (Simon Fraser University) in 2009 and began working at a CPA firm shortly after, receiving a high level of training and guidance. David joined the firm in 2014 and quickly became an indispensable part of the team. In his spare time, he likes to geek out over a multitude of different topics and tackle DIY projects. He lives for learning new things and would love to learn more about you and your business and help you navigate the world of bookkeeping, accounting, and taxation.

Caroline is the longest serving member of our team having joined the firm in early 2006. She is the lifeline of the firm that keeps our guests happy and our office organized. She has known most of the firm’s clients for years and is always here to assist you, especially during the personal tax season.

John founded the firm in 1981 and developed it into a highly recognized name amongst Vancouver’s medical professionals. He retired in 2015 and has since been enjoying family life, travel and his hobbies.
Since 1981.
Our firm was founded as “John M. Day, Chartered Accountant” in 1981. In 2011 we changed the name of our firm to Kerrisdale Professional Accounting Group to properly reflect the firm’s growth. From the beginning, our philosophy has been to provide personal service to each and every client to the highest professional standards.
Our clients stay with us for a long time, and we still have several who have been with us from the day we opened our doors over thirty-five years ago. Under the leadership of John Day and solely through word of mouth the firm built a reputation as one of the top small size firms for incorporated medical professionals in town. Today we continue to serve our original core clientele (incorporated professionals) as well as other clients in a variety of industries.
